February is coming to an end and, at last, Semana Blanca is here and, with it, Andalusia Day. It is the time to take out the flag of our land and enjoy our gastronomy and leisure time (although, let’s face it, we already do that the rest of the year).

Why do we celebrate Semana Blanca in Malaga?
You’ve probably wondered about the origin of Semana Blanca and why it’s not present in all the provinces of our country. The answer is simple: it serves to compensate for the fact that local public holidays coincide with the summer months.
In the case of Malaga, the fair is held in August, which means that those holidays are transferred to the Semana Blanca, always including the Day of Andalusia.
