Miramar Shopping Centre has enjoyed a record-breaking summer season, achieving its highest visitor numbers to date, surpassing its previous summer record, set in 2023, by 5.73%.
The shopping centre recorded consecutive monthly visitor records throughout May, June, July, August and September, reflecting the continued success of its shopping and leisure offering.
This increase in visitor numbers reflects improvements to Miramar’s retail offering, the introduction of new services and an increasingly diverse programme of events designed around the experiences and activities visitors are looking for.
Ignacio Domínguez, Director of Miramar Shopping Centre, highlights the team’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the centre’s offering: “Miramar works hard every day to continue improving its retail offering. Alongside the new openings we have welcomed so far, we carefully plan our events with families in mind, offering entertainment for all ages.”
Among this summer’s highlights was “Gabby’s Dollhouse”, held in September and warmly received by families. The launch of Family Zone has also proved very popular, offering workshops and family activities every weekend, with advance booking available through the centre’s app.
During these months, Miramar has also organised various social media giveaways, initiatives to raise the profile of its retailers and corporate social responsibility projects, including a clothing collection in collaboration with Cudeca, a charity handball tournament in support of AFA and the second edition of the Job Fair in partnership with the Red Cross.
Throughout the year, Miramar has continued to expand and refresh its offering with new stores and renovations. Highlights include the opening of Casa del Libro, featuring a catalogue of more than 12,000 titles; the refurbishment of Primark; the arrival of Sephora on the ground floor; and the expansion of Primor.
The fashion, footwear and entertainment offering has also been enhanced with the arrival of Skechers and Sould Park Bowling & Arcade, which features four professional bowling lanes and more than fifty arcade machines. The dining offering has also expanded with the opening of La Cheesequería.
Looking ahead to the end of the year, the centre will continue working on further improvements, including the renovation of its terrace, the expansion of Women’secret and the refurbishment of Guess, strengthening its position as an attractive destination for both retailers and visitors.
Opened in 2004, Miramar Shopping Centre offers 50,000 square metres of space, more than 140 stores and businesses, an extensive dining area, 12 cinema screens and parking facilities with 2,700 spaces.
Following this record-breaking season, Miramar reinforces its position as one of the Costa del Sol’s leading shopping and leisure destinations, combining shopping, dining, entertainment, services and experiences for all ages.
