From 21 to 30 August 2026, Miramar Shopping Centre will once again join forces with the Red Cross to collect new school supplies for vulnerable children and families in Fuengirola.
Under the name reCOLEcta, this charity initiative encourages everyone visiting the shopping centre to donate new school supplies and help those who need extra support at the start of the new academic year.
For ten days, the Red Cross will have a collection stand on the ground floor of Miramar Shopping Centre, opposite Carrefour.
The stand will be open from 21 to 30 August, from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. Visitors can donate new school supplies, including:
All the items collected will be used to support children and families who need help covering the costs associated with the beginning of the new school year.
In addition to providing the collection space and encouraging visitors to take part, Miramar Shopping Centre will make an additional contribution of €500.
This donation will be used to purchase further school supplies, helping even more children begin the academic year with the resources they need.
Through reCOLEcta, Miramar and the Red Cross aim to reduce the financial impact of going back to school for local families and raise awareness of the importance of equal access to education.
Miramar and the Red Cross have been working together on this back-to-school donation campaign in Fuengirola for several years, with the support of visitors and the local community.
Every donation, no matter how small, can help a child start the new school year with confidence and have the supplies they need for their education.
